TAPE 05 / 07SELECTED WORK
THE CREDITS
Where The Wild Things Eat
Where The Wild Things Eat is a direct-to-consumer umami seasoning brand with a full e-commerce storefront. I built it solo: brand identity, UI/UX and the whole stack, with no template and no agency.

THE CHALLENGE
Most food brands launch on a theme and a dozen apps. This one needed a storefront as considered as the product, built around its recipes and story. Nothing off the shelf tied Shopify, a real CMS and a custom design system together, so I built it.
THE APPROACH
- Front end. Next.js: routing, data fetching and the design tokens every component pulls from.
- Commerce. Shopify’s Storefront and Admin APIs, with the cart, checkout and discount logic built by hand.
- Content. Sanity CMS for recipes and the journal, so content grows without a redeploy.
- Design system. The brand’s identity, type, color and motion language, designed and built.
- Maintenance. I’ve kept it running alone since launch.
THE OUTCOME
A live, fully custom e-commerce brand, on one system I designed, built and maintain end to end.
